Here at Aisle Do, Weddings & Events,  we are so thrilled about  your new engagement. We have put together some important tips to help guide you on where to begin the wedding planning process after just getting engaged. Read on to find out more…

  • Consider hiring a wedding planner. As professional wedding planner, I can certainly attest to the fact that planning a wedding certainly isn’t easy With modern day life being so busy, you may not even have an adequate amount of time to plan your dream wedding and continue to balance your day to day obligations. Your wedding day is a once in a lifetime opportunity and is  too important to lose out on quality planning time. If you want the best wedding possible, and don’t want the added stress of wedding planning on every free minute you have, a wedding planner can be a life saver. They know the ins and outs, and have a whole roster of vendors at their beck and call whom they built a rapport with and are experienced in the way they work
  • Set a date and book your venue. Picking a wedding date is absolutely one of the most crucial deciding factors for planning a wedding, you can’t really start the actual planning process until this has been done. Your date will determine so many different things, such as your venue, décor, floral pricing, vendor availability and pricing and much more. As an important word of advice wedding venues often book out at least a year in advance, and some even require you to book a year or more in advance especially if your wedding is taking place during peak wedding season (May – September).
  • Create a wedding budget. Your entire wedding will be planned with your budget in mind. Take a look at what you can afford and how much you want to spend on your wedding, so that you and your partner can decide on the proper budget for your wedding day.
  • Decide how many guests to invite This can go hand in hand with your wedding budget. Your budget will drastically be affected by how many guests you decide to invite as each guest averages approximately $100 per person at most venues, will this person include a plus one? The amount of guests you plan to invite may also affect which venue you decide to go with as there is always the factor of capacity when it comes to a venue.

Now there you have it, you are ready to move forward and begin the journey of planning your dream wedding. Aisle Do Weddings & Events, would love to assist you in anyway we can, if you are newly engaged and want to begin working with a Toronto wedding planner, be sure to get in touch with us today.
